In this article, we will go over:
Breather Membranes
A breather membrane is a material that is fitted underneath a roof covering. It prevents damp and mould from developing. The membrane has holes to allow water vapour to pass through and escape. This is quite a modern and popular option for roofing projects.
At Wonderbuilds, there is a range of breather membranes. There are options for both 1 metre and 1.5 metre lengths. 100g, 115g, 140g, and 160g are the 4 weight options to choose from.
Dry Ridge Kits
Dry Ridge Kits are used to help prevent water from entering the roof structure. Screws are used to attach a ridge roll to the top of the roof. Air flow is allowed to pass through along the ridge, and this helps to prevent condensation.
Wonderbuilds Dry Ridge Kits come with a 6-metre ventilated ridge roll, 10 ridge brackets, ridge union seals, and 100mm fixing screws and washers. The union seals and fixing screws and washers come in quantities of either 13 or 20, depending on which is required for the project.
The dry ridge kit with 13 union seals can be used for concrete, angled, and round ridges.
The dry ridge kit with 20 union seals is suitable for clay, concrete, angled, and round ridges.
Bitumen Shingles
Bitumen shingles can be used for commercial and residential buildings. They help to shield the building from debris, wind, rain etc. They are quite durable and can last for many years. Additionally, they are simple to install.
Hexagonal shaped shingles are made in grey, green, black, and red.
Square shaped shingles are made in grey, green, black, red, and brown.
Those shapes and colours are available in 3 square metre sheets. 2 square metre sheets are also available, in grey and red square shape.
